Are You Losing Your Marbles?
By Sharon Diaz
Are you confused? Stuck in negativity? Don’t know what to do? Feel like you're losing your marbles?
Trying to be clear in the midst of confusion is hard work. Trying to be clear in the midst of confusion and negativity is even harder. Complicate that with physical problems or relationship problems and ....fohgettaboutit! No wonder people become depressed and anxious. Then if we make poor choices out of desperation it can add to our stress and unhappiness.
When we experience struggle, it is our clue to end our usual ways of ordering, organizing and controlling our world. Struggles with life, relationships, a job or internal angst, propel us forward to make new discoveries about ourselves. We need to break through personal habits that keep us stuck.
Confusion is our clue that it is time to expand and open up to new ways of thinking and behaving. Because our beliefs rule both our internal and external world, when we change our thoughts about ourselves and others, we change how we experience our life and relationships. Change can be hard, but not changing makes us miserable.
It is important to hold onto the truth that we are never a victim of circumstance. If life is tough right now, understand the vast majority of emotional pain comes from resistance to what is. We typically fight the present circumstances especially if we hate where life has taken us. We want what happened to not have happened. But, we can't change what happened. We can't alter the past. We can only learn from what happened and choose to see the light of Love in our current circumstance.
In each moment we need to remember that All Is Well. In the quiet acceptance of the moment we can trust the underlying, universal spiritual truth that we are always alright. Even with chaos around us or the swirl of negativity within our mind, the natural law of peace reassures us. We need to renew our faith that Love always guides us for our highest good.
In order to become clear on what to do, we must first stop fighting what is. We can ask a question to our higher self. Then be open-minded to our own internal guidance or intuition. Inspiration or intuition is never accompanied by emotional turmoil....it simply presents itself. This is how we distinguish between what we think we "should be doing" and what we are being guided to do. We may be inspired to talk to someone. We may be guided to take a class or read a book. We may be inspired to let things unfold without trying to control a situation. By listening to intuition, we then follow it by making a decision. I will sign up for the class, I will buy that book. Or, I'm going to talk to that person I've been thinking about. Then take action.
When we listen to and have the courage to follow this internal guidance, we will be free of fear and confusion. Anxiety is what makes us doubt or question...what if? and stops us from moving forward. When we recognize and honor that Love gently pushes us out of our usual comfort or discomfort zone, we can trust that the resources needed to support us will always be provided. We are always sent to the right place at the right time to be with the right people to help us accomplish what needs to be accomplished. Trusting this helps alleviate worry.
Knowing that spiritual guidance is constant, we do not have to struggle with making the right decisions for ourselves. We can have a new perspective in dealing with a situation which will help us take a next step, one at a time...
